Shapes Without Words
Shapes without Words
These paintings create a multilayered relationship between opposing qualities: kinetic and still, line and shape, flatness and rendering, and opaque and translucent. Shapes Without Words refers to a challenge to the necessity of explanation. The work is intuitive and invites the viewer to engage in the emotions I felt when I created them, especially the success of surprising myself.
